Looking to build on their post season birth from a season ago, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and kicker Chase McLaughlin have agreed to terms on a three year deal, per Ian Rapoport, NFL Network. The deal is reported to be a 3-year, $12.3 million dollar contract. McLaughlin had one of the best kicking seasons in franchise history for Tampa Bay, and the Bucs will be pleased to bring back that type of special teams productivity.
McLaughlin Looks to Repeat Historic Season
Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin hit an elite 93.5% of his field goal attempts a season ago. Although McLaughlin was not selected to the Pro Bowl or the All-Pro teams, his productive season did not go un-noticed as he was graded the number one overall kicker for the 2023 season per PFF player grades. Bringing back a consistent and reliable kicker is a underrated factor for playoff teams, and the Buccaneers will not have to worry about that for the next three seasons.
