The Cleveland Browns have not gotten off to the start they wanted to, and this week, they will head to Washington to play one of the best rookie quarterbacks in the NFL, Jayden Daniels.
Daniels was the second overall pick in last year’s draft, and he looks like he will be the next guy to take over the league.
Cleveland Browns Could Take Shedeur Sanders
Cleveland hasn’t drafted a quarterback in the first round since taking Baker Mayfield first overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, but that could change this upcoming April.
Yahoo Sports Charles McDonald and Nate Tice posted a new 2025 mock draft and had the Browns taking Colorado’s quarterback Sheduer Sanders with the fifth overall pick.
McDonald and Tice had a lot of great things to say about Sanders, and here are their thoughts on the player.
Even with a continued leaky Colorado offensive line, Sanders’ game and movement in the pocket has improved. It would be a stormy situation, with Deshaun Watson still having a contract that is hard to move off of, but the Browns need to address the position or otherwise leave the rest of the Browns’ team-building for naught. Sanders gives them excitement.

The Cleveland Browns taking Sanders would be a shock since Deshaun Watson is still under contract for two more seasons after this year. Cleveland needs to upgrade its offensive line and skill position groups before adding a new quarterback.
Cleveland will need to draft an offensive tackle with their first-round pick in this upcoming NFL Draft and then see how Watson does in 2025 before they start thinking about trading for a new quarterback.
