Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb passed his first test towards returning to game action from a devastating knee injury suffered in Week 2 last season.

Days after being activated from PUP, and his 21-day practice window open, Chubb took the field with his teammates and wound up no worse for wear.
“It felt good,” Chubb told reporters, of his first day back at practice.
While Chubb isn’t ready to commit to a return date, the Browns are hoping to get Chubb back in action at some point over the next three weeks in order to jumpstart the offense.
Clock Ticking on Nick Chubb’s Cleveland Browns Return

Cleveland must decide during the 21-day window whether to activate Chubb to the 53-man roster, or if he isn’t quite ready to return, revert him to full-season injured reserve.
Chubb’s work in practice is merely the latest step towards recovering from his injury, as he pointed out.
“I’ve been doing things on my own for a while now, so I’ve been used to everything I’ve done out there. It feels good.”

Through the first four weeks of the season, Cleveland’s ground attack ranks as the NFL’s 31st rushing offense, underscoring the need, hope, and optimism that Chubb can get back on the field.
Chubb has rushed for 6,511 yards and 48 touchdowns, through his first six seasons, en route to making four consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl.
Whether Chubb can get back on the field in game action in 2024 still remains to be seen, but at the moment things seem to be trending in the right direction.
