The Seattle Seahawks had a fairly low-key free agency, with the shrewd signings of some reliable older veterans like linebacker, Jerome Baker and safeties, Rayshawn Jenkins and K’Von Wallace, about the extent of their activity over the March period.
The Seattle Seahawks Unbalanced Offensively
Questions still remain offensively for Pacific North West’s sole NFL representative, with the future of quarterback, Geno Smith, very much up in the air, and the solidity of the Seahawks’ interior offensive line very questionable, especially after the loss of guard, Damien Lewis, to the Carolina Panthers,
One area, however, which has been a consistently strong position group for Seattle Seahawks is their receiving corps, with the trio of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith Njigba forecasting as one of the most impressive in the league.
Even so, it seems that the now Mike McDonald-led team have decided to find reinforcements for what is already an excellent group, and are taking a chance on a talented, albeit injury prone receiver who has been limited to less than 300 combined receiving yards over the past two seasons, per Mike Garafolo.

Laviska Shenault Jr. Heading To The West Coast
Laviska Shenault Jr. had much hype coming out of Colorado as a Cordarrelle Patterson + type player, a tall, stocky, hybrid receiver and returner, who could even contribute to the rushing game on jet sweeps, and on specific offensive packages, in the backfield.
Whilst the Seahawks are obviously already fairly well stocked on the receiving end of the roster, it makes sense to add some cheap, high upside insurance in case of injury.
Equally, with long-time Seattle Seahawks Veteran, Tyler Lockett, having a whopping $30 million cap hit that can be cut for just a dead cap of $4 million, Seattle could well be looking to the future for their next perimeter star.
