The Seattle Seahawks lost their top three inside linebackers in free agency as Bobby Wagner signed with the Washington Commanders, Jordyn Brooks signed with the Miami Dolphins, and Devin Bush Jr. signed with the Cleveland Browns.
The team had to sign a starting-caliber linebacker to lead the defense, and they did just that by signing one in free agency.
The Seattle Seahawks signed an ILB in free agency

According to Adam Schefter, Seattle signed Jerome Baker to a 1-year, $7 million contract.
A review of his career

The Miami Dolphins drafted Jerome Baker in the 3rd round, 73rd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Baker developed into a reliable linebacker, playing in 94 of 99 regular season games, as he missed one game in 2021 with a knee injury and four games with a knee and wrist injury in 2023. He has 587 tackles, 31 for a loss, 46 QB hits, 22.5 sacks, five interceptions, two pick-sixes, 21 pass deflections, and six forced fumbles in his career.
Miami released him because of his recent injuries, as he failed a physical and because the team needed to free up cap space.
Who are their starting linebackers next season?

Baker wasn’t the only linebacker Seattle signed in free agency. They also signed Tyrel Dodson from Buffalo.
Their starters next year will likely be Baker and Dodson, depending on what they do in free agency or the draft.
