The Seattle Seahawks had to overcome adversity these last two weeks, suddenly losing QB Geno Smith. Despite not having him for that stretch, the Seahawks won their Week 15 game without him. However, they may not have to worry about doing that again.
Geno Smith Is Going to Practice
According to Seattle Seahawks reporter Brady Henderson, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll stated that Geno Smith Was going to practice today. Carroll said “That’s exciting for us,” as he announced the news. Unless there is a setback in practice this week, it is safe to assume that Smith should be available for the Seahawks’ Week 16 game against the Tennessee Titans.
What This Means for the Seattle Seahawks
This could not have come at a better time for the Seattle Seahawks. There are just three games remaining in the regular season and the Seahawks are in the middle of a tight playoff race. With a 7-7 record, only tiebreakers are keeping the Seahawks out of the playoffs at this time.
Geno Smith has started 12 games this season for Seattle. How has he done in those games? Smith has 2,918 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, and just nine interceptions.
