The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the most stable organizations in the last decade but things may be changing. Head coach Pete Carroll will no longer be on the sidelines for the Seahawks, per Adam Schefter.
That is massive news and it is unclear if he will still be with the Seahawks in a different role or just completely will be gone from the team. This has been speculated over the last week about his future but still is massive news to come out of Seattle.
Pete Carroll spent 14 seasons as the coach for the Seattle Seahawks and brought them to new heights as he had a 137-89 career record with a pair of Super Bowl appearances and one championship. This is going to be massive shoes to fill for whoever is taking over for Pete Carroll and it will be interesting to learn if this was his call or the organization’s.
How will Pete Carroll be remembered with the Seattle Seahawks?
The marriage between the Seattle Seahawks and Carroll is something that will be studied for a while as he went from a struggling coach to one that was incredibly successful and will be part of the Ring of Honor.
He started off coaching the New York Jets for the 1994 season and went 6-10 and later would be the main guy in charge of the New England Patriots from 1997-99 and went 27-21. He transitioned to college football and made his name there, primarily with the USC Trojans.
However, he became a star immediately as he took the Seahawks to a playoff spot in his first season in 2010. After 14 seasons, he became a superstar head coach and if he stays with the team, it will be a massive home run for the organization as his input is going to be in high regards.
