Ryan Day Just Got The Amazing Help He Has Been Asking For And It Might Help Him Win It All This Season

Ryan Day is gearing up for a significant season, and if he doesn’t find a way to beat Michigan, he could get run out of town. Ohio State has to find a way to beat their biggest rivals, and if somehow they drop a fourth straight game to them, their new athletic director, Ross Bjork, might be looking for a new coach.

Luckily for Day, he is going to have some help he didn’t think he would probably need to beat his opponents, and no, it’s not stealing teams’ signs like Michigan did last season, but it comes in the virtual world with the new NCAA College Football video game that came out last week.

NCAA football, the video game, is finally back after 11 years of being away due to NIL reasons, and the entire college football world has been having the best time with it, including players who get to use themselves in the game.

The video game could also be a neat tool for scouting purposes, and that is what Ohio State‘s head coach, Ryan Day, is asking the players to do.

During Big Ten Media Days this week, Emily Proud from CBS Sports interviewed Buckeye’s defensive end, Jack Sawyer. She said he told her that Ryan Day told his team to play the new college football video game to help them learn opponents.

Ryan Day Is Very Smart For Telling His Players To Scout Opponents On The Game

    Ohio State
Mar 7, 2024; Columbus, OH, USA; Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day watches players run during spring football practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

Day has been known to do some questionable things since he became the head coach at Ohio State, but telling his players to play the new NCAA game and learn their opponents is very smart. The Buckeyes will face Oregon, a new team in the Big Ten. The last time they saw them was in 2021, and they have changed a lot since then, including head coaches, so they don’t know much about them.

Ohio State players can turn on their game console and play against Oregon to see what they are good at and which player can do what.

Of course, playing a video game can only tell you so much about a team, but anything helps in July when the season hasn’t even started, and we have no new game film on all these teams.
