On Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens agreed to an extension for one of their former first-round picks. The move came as teams tried to extend some 2021 draft picks ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
2021 WR draft picks are getting paid this week
The Detroit Lions made headlines earlier in the day when they extended their 2021 fourth-round pick, Amon-Ra St. Brown, to a four-year extension worth $120 million. St. Brown’s deal will have wide-ranging implications on the wide receiver market, especially for No. 1 pass catchers.
The Baltimore Ravens extended Rashod Bateman
With St. Brown’s deal in the books, the Ravens took care of Rashod Bateman. Per a statement by the Ravens, the team extended Bateman through the 2026 season. The terms of the deal were not immediately released by the Ravens or Bateman’s camp.
