In Week 12 of the NFL season, we have seen a fair share of injuries but few have been as scary as Buffalo Bills safety Taylor Rapp left the field via an ambulance against the New York Jets. With less than two minutes to go in the first half, he went for a tackle and had a strong hit. After getting up and looking okay at first, he fell to the ground and was placed in an ambulance.
Fans and media members of the National Football League reacted to the scary scene at Highmark Stadium as Taylor Rapp’s injury brought back a lot of emotions.

The initial diagnosis seems to be that it was a neck/collarbone injury as he grabbed that area before falling to the turf. We will update you when more information about Taylor Rapp becomes available. We send our thoughts and prayers to Taylor Rapp at this time.
What does the Taylor Rapp injury mean for the Buffalo Bills?
The Buffalo Bills have been plagued by injuries throughout the season, specifically on the defensive side of the field. With the depleted secondary of the Bills and their season being on the line with a 5-5 record heading into this game, these injuries piling up are not great for their postseason chances.
Taylor Rapp has been a solid player for the Buffalo Bills this season as he recorded 25 total tackles (18 solo, seven assisted), 0.5 sacks and one forced fumble. With the defense sustaining way too many injuries throughout the regular season, it puts a lot of pressure on the depth of the franchise from their 53-man roster and their practice squad.
Despite the injuries, their defense has been playing well as they have held the opposing offenses to 18.4 points per game and 20 total touchdowns this season. Taylor Rapp is one of the many injuries that has kept the Bills from getting to that next level and helping the offense recover from their mistakes. However, they are forcing takeaways and giving quarterback Josh Allen and the offense the ability to take advantage of those situations.
It will be difficult to continue sustaining injuries and expect the defense to continue playing well.
