The Buffalo Bills have once again moved past the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs, culminating in a 4th straight win in the round for Josh Allen’s team.
As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they have once again failed to get past their first game of the single elimination tournament, which has lead to this rather unfortunate and potentially hot-seating stat for Mike Tomlin, per Avi Meirov.

Pittsburgh Steelers Trailing 70% Of The NFL For Last Playoff Win
The Steelers have been the epitome of stability and, whilst not mediocrity, certainly good-but-not-great-ness. Mike Tomlin’s record 17 seasons with a winning record would be a dream for bottom-tier franchises like the Washington Commanders or the Chicago Bears, but for a franchise with the history and reverence of the Steelers, having not won a playoff game in the best part of a decade simply will not do.
Part of that reason has been issues at quarterback: Whilst Kenny Pickett – who some believed should have started in place of former 3rd stringer, Mason Rudolph – has shown in fits and spurts that he is capable of having good moments, he is unlikely to develop into a playoff-competitive quarterback in the stacked AFC QB room that includes Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, CJ Stroud and likely MVP, Lamar Jackson.
It remains to be seen whether the future of Pickett and Tomlin are certain, as both seem to potentially be in some jeopardy, even considering the notorious patience of the Pittsburgh franchise. Especially after Tomlin’s exit at the end of the game.
