Now, Brown has set his sights on QB Russell Wilson after the quarterback stated his goals for 2024 and beyond. Read below to find out what those goals are and what Brown said in response.
Russell Wilson Wants to Win Two More Super Bowls
In an interview with former NFL WR Brandon Marshall on “I Am Athlete,” Wilson dived into his goals for 2024 and beyond. Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Makes Fun of Wilson’s Goals
It is safe to say that Antonio Brown thought this goal was laughable. After this goal was shared on social media, Brown caught one post mentioning it and captioned it saying “CTESPN.” The conclusion drawn from this is Brown thought Wilson’s goals were ridiculous.
Russell Wilson’s Future
Part of the reason Brown had such a strong reaction to this is Wilson’s future in the NFL is uncertain. For starters, he is virtually guaranteed to be released by the Denver Broncos around the official start of the 2024 league season. Then, Wilson needs to find another home.
For Wilson to find a new home, he would likely have to take a significant pay cut. In 2023, Wilson had 3,070 passing yards and 26 touchdown passes in 15 starts. However, if Wilson is willing to take less money, there are a handful of teams around the NFL who could likely use a quarterback.
