The Philadelphia Eagles are in the midst of a three-game losing streak and have lost control of the NFC East with their loss on Monday. One of the reasons why they are struggling is health as they are dealing with some injuries and there will be another player heading to the operating room. Offensive guard Landon Dickerson is set to have thumb surgery today but will not be placed on Injured Reserve, per Mike Garofolo of NFL Network.

Landon Dickerson was a Pro Bowl offensive guard last season and it is unclear exactly how much time he will miss for the Philadelphia Eagles that are reeling. The offense is currently seventh in the league averaging 25.6 points per game and has not been their issue but they need to get healthy as they already clinched a playoff spot.
Can the Philadelphia Eagles figure out how to win the NFC East?
The Philadelphia Eagles may have been struggling to the point where they have lost each of their previous three games. However, they have one of the softest endings to their schedule in the entire sport. Below is their final three games on the schedule.
Philadelphia Eagles Remaining 2023 Schedule
- Week 16: vs New York Giants
- Week 17: vs Arizona Cardinals
- Week 18: at New York Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles were able to win games to hide some of their issues but the last few weeks have been tough. The biggest weakness has been the defense, particularly the back seven as things look a bit bleak on that aspect.
The Eagles are trying everything they can to fix it to wrap up the season as they have Matt Patricia calling the defensive plays now but the talent just is not there as they seem a tad too slow. Would Justin Houston be a difference maker for this Philadelphia Eagles team or would he be another Shaq Leonard, looking a step behind?
This Eagles team has a lot of talent but their defense is 26th in the NFL, allowing 24.4 points per game. The offense also has shown some warts but if they can get going on the defensive side of the field, they will be in a great spot.
Going up against the Giants and Cardinals to end the season should lock them up in a top four seed in the NFC.
