Time flies when you’re in the NFL. This has been the case for Philadelphia Eagles star Dallas Goedert, who is now entering Year 7 as a pro.
It was quite a change of pace for the 29-year-old in a recent appearance at the annual Tight End University as the tables turned on him. While he was once the young stud who was learning from the veterans, Goedert is now the one left answering questions from his younger counterparts.
Be that as it may, the former second-round pick is adamant that he still has a lot of gas left in the tank.
Philadelphia Eagles News: Dallas Goedert Opens Up About Future

At this point, there’s a considerable amount of uncertainty surrounding Goedert’s future with the Eagles. He is entering the final guaranteed year of his contract, and it’s very much possible that Philadelphia will decide to move on from him at the end of this season.
For his part, however, the former South Dakota State standout is not stressing out about what the future may hold for him:
“I feel really good,” Goedert said when asked if he felt like he was entering a prove-it or contract year of sorts, via Jeff Neiburg of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I’m not too worried about it. I love being in Philadelphia. I’m going to give them everything I’ve got and let the chips fall where they may fall.”

It goes without saying that a lot will be riding on this season for Goedert and his future with the Eagles.
Dallas Geodert on New OC Kellen Moore

One man who is expected to help Goedert’s cause this year is newly-appointed offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Goedert and Moore appear to have gotten off on the right foot, with the veteran TE having nothing but good things to say about his new coach:
“He’s been doing a great job of just making the offense make sense and we kind of changed up the reads and different things like that throughout,” Goedert said. “I feel like it’ll play in favor of the tight end, the quick game a little bit, getting back to the pivots, the sticks that I caught earlier in my career that went away a little bit.
“I’m really excited for how he uses the tight end and how he feels like they can be a big part of the offense and help win games.”
It’s a big year ahead for Goedert.
