The Philadelphia Eagles offense may be without one of their best weapons for an extended amount of time. During the week 9 win against the Dallas Cowboys, tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a fractured forearm and it is unclear exactly how much time he will miss.

Philadelphia Eagles Dallas Goedert Injured
The injury occurred with 2:54 to play in the third quarter when Goedert was dragged down by his arm and landed awkwardly. He left the game and did not return. The team fears Jalen Hurts could be without his safety valve for an extended period of time. While the Eagles are on a bye week next week giving them time to make a decision, there is some speculation that this injury could land Goedert on the IR. This would mean he would miss the next four games. It makes the win over the Cowboys even more crucial.
Eagles Have A Cushion
The Eagles now have a healthy cushion over the rest of the NFC. It also isn’t like the Eagles are lacking weapons on offense. AJ Browns and DeVonta Smith are one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL and the running game is as powerful as ever. While losing Goedert in the short term may hurt, the Eagles can afford to drop a game and still be in pole position for the number one seed in the NFC. The biggest question now is exactly how much time he will miss.
If the Philadelphia Eagles can get Dallas Goedert back for the playoffs, they will be in good shape. If not, this team has lost one of its best offensive weapons which could affect how the offense runs.
