Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a new complication before his game against the Denver Broncos in Week 8. The Chiefs’ star quarterback was able to practice fine all week, but the team revealed a surprise Sunday morning.
Patrick Mahomes has an illness
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Mahomes was added to the injury report with an undisclosed illness. Mahomes will start despite the illness, as the Chiefs did not give him a designation on the report.
The #Chiefs added Patrick Mahomes to the injury report with an illness, but he has no game status designation and will start against the #Broncos.

The Chiefs’ disclosure of the illness was necessary after what we saw last week with the Atlanta Falcons and running back Bijan Robinson.
Robinson only carried the ball once before leaving the game with a headache. Robinson said the headache started the night before, but the Falcons didn’t disclose that on their injury report.
