Oregon Ducks tight end Spencer Webb died after suffering a head injury after falling from the Triangle Lake rock slides in Lane County, OR. Head coach Dan Lanning and numerous Oregon players confirmed the tragic news. He was 22.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirmed a 22-year-old died at Triangle Lake, but did not confirm the identity of the victim. They received the report at 2:30 p.m. and found Webb’s body about 100 yards down a steep trail. Bystanders and first responders were unable to revive him. The deputies labeled his death an accident.

A Look Back at Spencer Webb
Spencer Webb was a four-star tight end from Sacramento, CA, and played high school football at Christian Brothers Academy. According to 247Sports, he was the 11th-best TE in the nation.
Webb signed with Oregon in 2018, choosing the Ducks over numerous schools such as Notre Dame, California, and Texas A&M. His best season came in 2019 when he racked up 18 receptions for 209 yards and three touchdowns. Webb played every game in the 2021 season, adding 13 catches for 87 yards and a TD.
In his collegiate career, he caught 31 passes for 296 yards and four TDS and was entering the 2022 campaign as a fifth-year junior.
