The Ohio State Buckeyes had no movement in their rankings after an impressive performance and win against the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday night. The Buckeyes started hot and never looked back, beating a well-coached, strong defensive Badgers unit 52-21.

Alabama and Georgia are the two teams currently sitting in front of the Buckeyes, but Georgia didn’t necessarily look as strong as they had the first three weeks prior. They beat a 1-2 Kent State team 39-22. Kent State scored the most points that any team has this season on the Bulldogs’ defense.
The Buckeyes strengths
Ohio State has easily looked like the most dynamic offense in college football. They are led by Heisman frontrunner CJ Stroud and his plethora of weapons across the field. The crazy thing is star wide receiver Jaxson Smith- Njigba hasn’t been on the field all too much this season due to a lingering hamstring injury. Instead, Marvin Harrison Jr, Julian Fleming, Emeka Egbuka, and tight end Cade Stover have stepped up in wide margin and have produced at high volume.

The run game has also been highly dominant with the two-headed monster Ryan Day has been using with TreyVeon Henderson and Miyan Williams. However, Ohio State’s kryptonite over the last few seasons is the production from the defense. And so far, the defense has been better than advertised, led by newly acquired defensive coordinator Jim Knowles.
They have a young secondary, but there is still a lot of talent. The front seven is what will make the Buckeyes’ defense go. Guys like Zach Harrison, Tommy Eichenberg, and Steele Chambers. They do have minimal experience at the safety position with Josh Proctor and Ronnie Hickman. But there is still a lot of room for growth.
Ohio State continues its Big Ten schedule this week when they take on Rutgers. Ohio State is currently betting favorites by a large margin. Rutgers just suffered a home loss to Iowa.
