Ohio State looked like one of the best teams in the country at the start of the season, but they haven’t played a Top 25 team yet. That will change this Saturday.
Ohio State is expected to be a playoff team no matter what happens in Eugene, and one big-time media network has one word to sum up the Buckeyes heading into Week Seven.
Bleacher Report Has High Praise For Ohio State
Joel Reuter from Bleacher Report pushed an article titled 1 Word for Every CFB Playoff Contending Team Heading into Week 7 and said the Buckeyes are Stout. Reuter explained why he is so high on the team and stated, “A high-powered Ohio State offense has often been the talking point in recent years, and while the Buckeyes do have a dangerous collection of weapons on that side of the ball, it’s a stout defense driving their early success. They lead the nation in yards allowed per game (202.4) and points allowed per game (6.8), and have allowed just four touchdowns and two field goals through five games.”
According to many sportsbooks, the Buckeyes are favored to win it all this season. They do have the best roster in college football, but they have to show it on the field in big-time games.
If Ohio State runs the table in the regular season, they did it by beating some great teams in Oregon, Penn State, and Indiana, and most likely one of those teams again in the Big Ten title game.
Ohio State fans should feel good about their team this season, but they will also be nervous on Saturday night when they play one of the biggest regular-season games in school history.
