The Ohio State football team houses a two-headed monster at running back. Behind running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson, the Ohio State Buckeyes average 241 rushing yards per contest, the fourth-best mark in the Big Ten. Henderson returned to Columbus this offseason after rushing for 2,745 yards across three seasons beginning in 2021. Meanwhile, Judkins heralds from Oxford, Mississippi, where he played for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2022 to 2023. A two-time first-team All-SEC honoree, Judkins transferred to Ohio State football for the 2024 season and owns an NIL valuation of $1.1 million.
Judkins enters this weekend averaging a healthy 112 yards per game and is pacing a season similar to his breakout 1,500 rushing season as a freshman. However, one Ole Miss insider believes his 1,200 rushing yard season in 2023 was affected by in-season NIL demands, which, despite the team’s best efforts, did not stop his eventual transfer.
Ole Miss Journalist Calls Out Current Ohio State Football RB Quinshon Judkins

Wait until everybody finds out about a running back who threatened to sit out multiple games (including an NY6 bowl) last season as leverage to up his NIL $ just to transfer to another institution.
In the replies, it becomes increasingly apparent that Ole Miss Rebels journalist Caleb Salers is referencing rusher Quinshon Judkins, the team’s star running back from the two years prior. On the day UNLV Rebels quarterback Matthew Sluka opted out of the remainder of the 2024 season for financial reasons, Salers reveals that Judkins nearly did the same thing last year in hopes of securing a more significant NIL deal. However, Judkins eventually entered the transfer portal, becoming the lead back with Ohio State football.
As a freshman in 2022, Judkins led the SEC with 1,567 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as a member of the Ole Miss Rebels. In 2023, Judkins tallied 1,158 rushing yards and a conference-high 15 touchdowns.
