Last Saturday, the Ohio State football program started slowly before dismantling the Akron Zips 52-6. Ohio State enters the first full weekend of games as the second-ranked team in the AP Poll Top 25. The Buckeyes house an elite roster chock full of elite transfers, including running back Quinshon Judkins. A former star for the Ole Miss Rebels, Judkins rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in his Buckeyes debut.
Despite Ohio State entering the contest as a massive seven-touchdown favorite, the Buckeyes devotees filled Ohio Stadium, packing the home colosseum with over 100,000 in attendance. Following the win, Judkins had high praise for the Ohio State football fans while also taking a shot at his former school for lacking the same passion. Naturally, Ole Miss Rebels fans did not appreciate Judkins’ inability to show his appreciation for Ohio State football without making a slight at his former fan base.
Ohio State Football RB Quinshon Judkins Talks Ohio Stadium, Ole Miss Fans
According to Chase Brown of the Ohio Buckeyes Bulletin:
Quinshon Judkins on his first game at Ohio Stadium: “A one-of-a-kind experience. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience,” he said. “Over 100,000 (fans in the stadium). Being at Ole Miss, I only got to see that at away games.
The Ohio State football program routinely draws a massive crowd. In last season’s regular season home finale, Ohio State fans accounted for 104,019 in-person viewers, nearly identical to their attendance in Saturday’s 2024 home opener. Judkins greatly appreciated the school’s turn-out but added that he only experienced massive crowds during road games as a member of the Ole Miss Rebels from 2022 to 2023.
In Ole Miss’ home opener against the Furman Paladine, the Rebels reported an attendance near 66,105. However, Vaugh-Hemingway Stadium, the Rebels home, has a max capacity of 67,000. Meanwhile, Ohio State’s home field, Ohio Stadium, can sit 102,000. Nevertheless, Ole Miss Rebels fans took to Twitter following Judkins’ comments, expressing their feeling about his remarks:
If you’re mad Ole Miss wouldn’t take you back just say that 😂😂

As an Ole Miss fan whats to be mad about? The population of Oxford is around 26k.. selling out 60k is crazy support. Columbus has over 900,000 people. They should sell out every game or their support is trash.

Quinshon Judkins remember when the entire Ole Miss football team went to visit dying kids at the children’s hospital to give them a few minutes of smiles before they DIED and you threw a fit for not getting paid for the appearance? Good luck at osu !
