It’s never easy for Ohio State fans. On Saturday, many Buckeye fans breathed heavily when Marshall took the opening kickoff down the field and scored the game’s first seven points, making it the first touchdown Ohio State has allowed all season.
The Buckeyes would be okay beating the Thundering Herd 49-14, and starting quarterback Will Howard looked impressive, and his running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson had a great day on the ground carrying the team.
This offseason, Ohio State saw quarterback Will Howard transfer from Kansas State and had a quarterback competition with last season’s backup, Devin Brown.
Brown competed with Kyle McCord for the quarterback position last season but lost out, and the same happened this year with Will Howard.
Late in the game against Marshall, Brown saw some late garbage time action, and it didn’t go so well.
Brown threw for 14 yards with only two completions, but his performance was all over the place. Many Buckeye fans took to social media to express their thoughts and feelings about Brown and to express their desire for him to be sent further down the bench.

Get 33 off the field 🤦♂️

I sincerely do not understand why they keep trotting out 33 for reps before Sayin. This is a waste of everyone’s time.

I am once again asking to end the Devin Brown experience, you’re sending Julian Sayin into a week 1 matchup with Texas with no experience

Can everybody agree Devin Brown is literally not good at all?

If Will Howard goes down our season is over. Devin Brown is HORRIBLE.

I agree with the others that Devin Brown has had his chance and not performed well. Ryan Day has an issue with not seeing the forest through the trees. OSU is consistently recruiting 5-star QBs, but Day keeps playing the next QB on the seniority list versus the better future QB. Not giving any meaningful playing time to any of the past 5-star recruits, Ewers, Raiola, is why they end up transferring and becoming starts elsewhere. RB Dallan Hayden is another nonplaying recruiting example. I thought Hayden was our best running backs last year. Now he’s in Colorado. If Day does not start playing Sayin or Noland soon, they will then see they wasted a year of their career here at OSU and will be starring elsewhere next year.
