Notre Dame Lands WR Kris Mitchell
Mitchell had a huge season for the Panthers in 2023. He hauled in 64 passes for 1,118 yards and six touchdowns. He led Conference USA in receiving yards this season. On3 had him ranked as a top-ten wide receiver in the transfer portal. The 6-1, 175-pound receiver brings explosive play potential to an offense that had issues getting chunk plays last season. This is a huge get for the Fighting Irish and fills a huge need.
Fills A Need
The Fighting Irish need dynamic wide receivers. They have had solid pass-catchers but no one to blow the top off of a defense. While the quarterback position is still a need for the team to fill in the transfer portal, it won’t make much difference if there is no one to throw to. As so many teams lament the talent leaving the program, Notre Dame is one of the few that can celebrate an addition.
The Fighting Irish always seem to be just on the outside looking in. They are one of the premier programs in all of college football and they are hoping that this is the year that they can breakthrough and make the College Football Playoff.
