The North Carolina Tar Heels parted ways with Mack Brown as head coach. North Carolina was looking for a new head coach and on Wednesday, Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels agreed on terms for Belichick to lead this football program.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few years with him and North Carolina. They are trying to be a consistent football program moving forward.

Bill Belichick had many successful seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots as head coach and was also a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants. Belichick won many Super Bowls and he also felt like it was the time to leave the NFL entirely and go coach college football.

Is there an initiation for new UNC fans? I’d very much like to become a member of the fan base. A lot of people from New England will now be die hard UNC football fans. Best place to shop for team gear? I’m so excited. Team is going places. Let’s go Tar Heels!

Gonna be so interesting how he coaches a college team vs a nfl team lol

Smart move going to the ACC. Bill wouldn’t cut it in the B1G.

    — Dutch Smith (@DutchSmith11) December 12, 2024

Going to the ACC is a much better fit for Bill Belichick than it would have been going to the SEC or the BIG10. The North Carolina Tar Heels could compete in the ACC Conference if Belichick’s plan is done correctly. It will be intriguing to see how long he will coach this program for.
