As NFL free agency is in full swing, one of the greatest players to ever put a helmet on in the NFL announced his retirement. After 10 seasons of complete and utter dominance with the Los Angeles Rams, Aaron Donald announced his retirement. Donald will go down as one of, if not the greatest defensive player the NFL has ever seen. Many fans and players around the league are all congratulating the legend, as he is a sure first ballot Hall of Famer.

Aaron Donald is one of the most respected players in league history, by his peers, fans and the media alike. Donald is a three time defensive player of the year and a Super Bowl Champion. Everyone around the league seems to be okay with waiving the five year requirement for him to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. They want him to be inducted yesterday. Here are some of the best fan and media reactions to Donald’s retirement:

“Minutes after announcing his retirement from the NFL, Aaron Donald has now been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said ESPN’s Field Yates.

“Might as well be,” said ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“His gold jacket is in transit as we speak,” said one fan.

“let’s skip all the formalities and just put aaron donald in the hall of fame this year, no one would be upset about this,” another fan added.

“Aaron Donald should be in the Hall of Fame before 1:00pm EST,” said another fan.

“Hall of Fame making Aaron Donald bust right after his retirement announcement,” said one fan.

2029 Hall Of Fame Is Legendary

Aaron Donald will join legend Jason Kelce in the 2029 Hall of Fame, which is looking like one of the best classes to enter the Hall in the history of the league. It is truly the end of an era as the top players from the past decade are walking away.

It was truly special to watch both of these players throughout their careers. They are both Super Bowl champions and accomplished everything you can at their position in the NFL. As the fans say goodbye to Aaron Donald, reality sets in as we will never see something like him again. Congratulations to Donald on a spectacular career and it is truly special for fans to witness such greatness like these two legends.
