With the NFL Draft fast approaching, many analysts are making their mock drafts. The most notable draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has the New York Jets making a blockbuster trade in this years draft to go after the top receiver prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. Pairing him with Aaron Rodgers would be very scary for NFL defenses.
Daniel Jeremiah Has The New York Jets Trading Up For Marvin Harrison Jr.
In a shocking trade, Jeremiah has the Jets trading up to the No. 5 pick to select Marvin Harrison Jr. to pair him with Garrett Wilson. Jeremiah was quoted writing:
“The Jets are all-in with a veteran quarterback and they recently acquired two offensive tackles to shore up the O-line. They desperately need another playmaker in the passing game to complement Garrett Wilson, so they trade up to select Harrison, the top receiver in the draft and Wilson’s former Ohio State teammate,” Jeremiah wrote.
What is interesting is that the team signed Mike Williams on Tuesday, a few days after Jeremiah made his mock draft. Perhaps this is just in case they can’t make the trade happen, or maybe they will not look to trade anymore.
The New York Jets Are All In
The Jets are clearly all in as they have quite a short window to maximize Aaron Rodgers. The head coach is going to be on the hot seat as well this season so look for the team to make huge moves to try and take advantage of Rodgers last few seasons.
This move would make perfect sense as it would Rodgers dramatically coming back from injury. Harrison Jr. and Wilson would be one of the best duo of receivers in the NFL. The fact they brought in Mike Williams may have an impact on the team making a huge trade.
