The Philadelphia Eagles have been making tons of splash moves in the first couple days of free agency. The roster is going to loo completely different next season. While the team has made one of the biggest free agent signings in Saquon Barkley, one of their top defensive linemen appeared to send a goodbye message to the team and fans on Tuesday. Pro Bowler Josh Sweat seems to know that the team is going to trade him.
Josh Sweat Appears To Say Goodbye To Philadelphia Eagles
With multiple of the teams legends retiring this off season, Philly did bring in Bryce Huff and Saquon. Bryce is a bad sign for the Pro Bowler Josh Sweat. The team has already been reported to be getting numerous calls from NFL teams to trade for Sweat.
Sweat took to Instagram appearing to say goodbye to the team and the fans as trade talks surrounding him have been building. He wrote:
“I will miss you all” with praying hands emojis.
One of the Eagles reporters, John Clark, added that the team is in the process of finding a trade partner for the Pro Bowl defender.
Josh Sweat Still Has Many Good Years In The NFL
The 26 year old defender has arguably not even reached his prime yet. The team that will get him will add a very solid defensive end who will likely reach the prime of his career under this next contract. In his time with the Eagles, Sweat produced 35 sacks and seven forced fumbles over 49 starts.
The fourth round pick has been nothing but solid in all his time in Philly. Last season was a bit of a down season for the Pro Bowler, but any team that gets him would add a very solid defender that can make an impact against the run and pass.
