Just recently, NFL Goat Tom Brady shared who he thought were the five best quarterbacks in the league today. This led football fans to share their thoughts and reactions to his take online.
In a recent interview, Brady ranked his top five current NFL quarterbacks. At the top of his list was Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, who he called the most talented player he’s ever seen. Mahomes has emerged as one of the league’s premier passers, winning NFL MVP in 2018 and leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl championship in 2019.
Somewhat surprisingly, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers came in at number two on Brady’s list. Despite Rodgers’ consistent excellence over the past decade, he noted that Mahomes’ incredible arm talent and ability to make every throw gives him a slight edge. Nonetheless, the NFL GOAT praised Rodgers as an incredible player.
Rounding out Brady’s top five were Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert, and himself during his active run in the NFL.
NFL Fans Share Their Thoughts To Tom Brady’s Top 5 NFL Quarterbacks
Brady’s announcement of his top five quarterbacks has led NFL fans to share their thoughts on the matter. These reactions can be seen in a video sports analyst Stephen A. Smith posted on his official YouTube account.
“Skip is punching the air right now SKIP NEVER MEET BRADY IN HIS LIFE,” Buddah5537 said.
“Brady beggining to sound like a real analyst. I like how he isn’t sound biased. I use to hate the dude just becuase he is great on what he does man. Can’t deny greatness,” ramonsarmiento5925 shared.
“Aaron Rodgers top 5 right now, Stephen a come on man,” Louisiana71220 posted.
“Everyone can stop with the disrespect on Lamar now, the goat has spoken. He says Lamar is a good qb, he’s a good qb,” milkman-xp3nj mentioned.
“Football is a team game. QB’s can’t play o-line or defense. When people say Allen can’t get past Mahomes really it’s the Bills that need to get past the Chiefs,” bjarczyk reacted.
Surprisingly absent from Brady’s rankings were quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and Josh Mahomes – all of whom have strong cases as top-five QBs in the league.
His list reflects his assessment of the current crop of elite signal-callers, with a mix of established stars and rising young talents. Of course, only time can tell if the quarterbacks he named will go on to give justice to his endorsement.
