There is one NFL star that is facing some major backlash for the shots that he took at the greatest gymnast of all time Simone Biles. This all started with Biles and fellow Olympian Jordan Chiles winning silver and bronze respectively at the floor event at the Olympics.
NFL Star Marlon Humphrey Has Awful Post On Social Media
Neither Biles or Chiles won the gold as that honor went to the great Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade. Rebeca, is one of the greatest ever, and has been some what in the shadow of Biles for some time. The 25 year old legend Andrade is now the most decorated Olympian gymnast in the history of Brazil.
Both Biles and Chiles who were on the podium with Andrade and were in a great mood following the event. They are very competitive with each other but are also incredibly supportive of each other as gymnasts, and that is what the Olympics is all about.
What made the moment all the more powerful was that Andrade has dealt with three different torn ACL injuries, and injury that football players know all too well, and now how hard it is to come back from that. Andrade came back from three ACL injuries in four years and has now finally won gold, a truly legendary moment in Olympic history.
“Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles showed love to Rebeca Andrade after she won her first gold medal of the Paris Olympics ❤️,” SportsCenter shared.
Both Biles and Chiles showed their love by bowing to Andrade after she won her gold medal and was standing on the podium. This was truly a beautiful moment, and was received incredibly well by all that were watching. It showed grace and beauty from Biles and Chiles as well to give her her flowers in such an emotional moment.
The photo has since gone viral, and there seems to be only one person who has an issue with it, that being star cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
“This is literally disgusting,” he said.

NFL World Is Torching Marlon Humphrey For His Comment
It comes as no surprise as NFL fans and fans of sport in general are ripping Humphrey on social media for this comment. It should be celebrated that these great women would bow to Andrade after her life long accomplishment. This is what the Olympics is all about!
As lovers of sport and competition we can always get lost in the competition itself and forget the very fact that we are humans before competitors. To be human is not disgusting at all, to lose oneself in competition and then forget your humanity because of a game is.
“Yeah, because giving someone their flowers who has come back from THREE ACL tears to continue to be a top gymnast is disgusting,” one fan wrote.
“God forbid athletes show respect to a fellow athlete who has suffered a torn ACL multiple times,” one fan added.
“yeah good sportsmanship to a competitor that came back from 3 ACL injuries is literally disgusting! kick rocks lol,” one fan added.
Perhaps Humphrey is going to choose to walk this one back at some point.
It’s Humphrey, though, who is getting crushed for his comment.
“He calls himself an athlete…. Ignorant,” one fan wrote.
“So giving someone (Rebeca Andrade) the respect and adulation after they’ve come back from three ACL tears and winning gold medal in possibly the toughest sport is disgusting? Some of these people are entitled and deplorable,” one fan added.
“God forbid athletes have a little respect for one another or show sportsmanship 🙄,” one fan added.
“Your on field play the past few years have been disgusting,” one fan added.
Biles, in pure class, is standing by her decision. Chiles is doing the same.
“Rebeca, she’s so amazing, she’s queen,” Biles said.
“It was just the right thing to do.”
Chiles added: “Why don’t we just give her her flowers? Not only has she given Simone her flowers, but a lot of us in the United States, our flowers as well. So giving it back is what makes it so beautiful. So I felt like it was needed.”
What an incredible show of humanity and appreciation by these two women. To me, this highlights not the greatness of these gymnasts on the floor, but the even greater quality of humanity they have that goes far beyond the short seconds on the floor.
