The Chicago Bears are in the midst of training camp to prepare for the 2024 NFL season. Despite this, they have safety Jonathan Owens a couple of weeks off and excused him from camp. Of course, he had a good reason to want the time off: his wife, Simone Biles, is currently competing (and dominating) in the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
After winning another Gold Medal on Saturday, Biles brought her Olympics career total to 10 medals to go with her 30 career World Championships. This makes her the most decorated gymnast in history. Many consider her to be the single greatest athlete of all time due to how much she has dominated her sport.
Chicago Bears Safety Jonathan Owens Went Viral in a Photo of Him Wearing Simone Biles’ Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics
Like Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight Travis Kelce and his world-famous girlfriend Taylor Swift, Biles and Owens have always been supportive of each other. Prior to signing with the Green Bay Packers last May, Owens and Biles got married on April 22, 2023. Biles was seen at Lambeau Field during Packers home games and became a fan-favorite.
Now it is Owens’ turn to support his wife as she competes on the world’s largest stage at the Olympics in Paris. He has posted several encouraging messages and photos on social media, praising her for being the amazing athlete that she is. One photo, though, seems to have gotten some fans upset:

The photos, which were taken from Owens’ Instagram page, show him wearing one of the Gold Medals Biles won in Paris.
Obviously, she does not have any issue with it; but some trolls online sure did.
“Mr. Simone Biles, if you don’t give that woman back her medal like (be for real),” one comment on the post read.
In a TikTok video, Kiera Breaugh tells Owens, “After all of the— take her medal off! Was it you, Mr. Simone Biles, who was flying through the air yesterday? Was it you who spun like a top 30 times in the air and landed without stumbling? No.”
That video, it appears, was the last straw for Biles, whose full legal name is Simone Arianne Biles Owens.

Biles commented on Breaugh’s TikTok with a firm message for anyone criticizing Owens for donning her Gold Medal:
“Like y’all are so [expletive] miserable. Leave us alone.”
Biles had similar messages for fans who recommended that she leave Owens after he made an obvious joke that he was the most talented person in their relationship. Anyone with a lick of sense could see that he was not being serious.
One thing is for sure, Biles does not take kindly to people challenging her relationship with her husband or for criticizing him when all he is doing is supporting her.
*Note: It will be interesting to see if Biles gets a Bears coat like the Packers one pictured above for the upcoming season. It was made Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler Kyle Juszczyk. She also made a custom Chiefs coat for Taylor Swift.
