NFL Legend Goes Crazy After Noah Lyles Gets Gold at 2024 Olympics

NFL legend and sports analyst Shannon Sharpe isn’t an easy man to surprise these days. The thing is, the former Denver Broncos tight end was shocked after learning Noah Lyles won the gold at the 2024 Olympics.

In a thrilling climax to the 100-meter final at the Paris Olympics, Lyles clinched the gold medal in a photo finish. The American athlete had set his sights on winning multiple gold medals at these Games, overcame a slow start to chase down his rivals in the final strides and cross the line first in a personal-best time of 9.79 seconds.

The victory was especially sweet for Lyles, who had faced a challenging journey since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he had fallen short of his expectations. Determined to redeem himself, he worked tirelessly on both his physical and mental preparation, and this triumph marked a remarkable comeback.

Lyles’ win not only made him the first American to claim the Olympic 100m gold since 2004, but it also put him on track to become the first runner to win both the 100m and 200m at a single Olympics since the legendary Usain Bolt. As he ripped off his bib and wrapped himself in the American flag, His infectious celebration captured the hearts of the cheering crowd, solidifying his status as a rising star in the sport.

Lyles’ dramatic victory in the men’s 100m final at the 2024 Olympics was hailed as one of the greatest races in history. The American athlete surged from behind in the final meters to edge out Kishane Thompson in a photo finish, with all eight finishers crossing the line within 0.12 seconds of the gold medal.
