The NFL season has not yet begun, but fans and players alike are just itching to get to the show on the road. While we have already seen some intense fights break out in multiple practices around the league, with many of them being when two teams are practicing with each other.

However, the craziest fight of training camp has taken place between teammates, and Seattle Seahawks star D.K. Metcalf was at the center of it.

With numerous fights going on around the league as football season is right around the corner, Wednesday was no different for the Seahawks practice.

NFL network was right on the scene to capture the fight between the two Seahawk players on the field. The star receiver Metcalf can be seen to take the helmet off of a teammate and then swing it at one of his teammates, Myles Garrett-style, hitting him hard on the top of his head.

As seen in the video, the other teammates were incredibly quick to get in between and try to stop it from escalating further. They eventually restrained Metcalf, and had him cool of from the situation.

The star receiver is known to have a tough and fiery personality on and off the field. It can be seen in how he plays and how he handles himself. This has also however, led him to getting multiple conduct penalties in his career with the Seahawks.

He was even ejected from a game against the San Francisco 49ers this previous season, after shoving the opposing teams defensive back Deommodore Lenoir. From this, it seems, that these issues have been persisting somewhat, and this can’t affect a team in a productive manner heading into the season.

Metcalf has been candid that he doesn’t see a reason to change the way he is and that he’s doing just fine so far:

“I’m doing pretty good if I look at it and judge myself, how I play,” said the star wide receiver following a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I just try to be consistent and have clean hands or whatever the case may be, but I’m not going to change who I am as a player or a person.”

This fight involved the use of a helmet as a weapon but there have been plenty of scuffles around the league.

NFL Fans Are Touching The Star Receiver On Social Media

It is clear that the emotions of the practice got the best of the star receiver, and that is just something you cannot do, let alone to your own teammate. Could competition, energy, and even fights can be great, but hitting a teammate with a helmet on top of their head is just not it.

This has led to fans crushing him on social media after the video has since gone viral:

“Things going well in Seattle I see,” one tweet read.

“Everyone knows you don’t go full Myles Garrett,” another tweet read.

“Myles Garrett giving everyone the blueprint today,” another tweet read.

The team is going in a different direction at head coach after moving on from Pete Carroll. If this is any signs of what is to come in the new era of Seattle, it is going to be a very long season for Seahawks fans. They will need Metcalf to be fantastic this year if they are hoping to make a playoff push in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.

Metcalf’s the 2023 season totals were:  66 receptions for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns.
