Trending: Detroit Lions and New York Giants Fight Breaks Out In Training Camp

The New York Giants and the Detroit Lions will face each other in a preseason game on Thursday, August 8 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. However, the Giants and the Lions gathered together on Monday for a joint practice. There have been joint practices in the past where it sparked fights.

One of the main reasons why teams are having joint practices these days is because they do not want their star players going in preseason games. They would rather go up against each other in practice and see what they could do.

On the first day of joint practices, there was already scuffling going on. Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw a deep pass to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and it was completed. After that, New York Giants rookie cornerback Andrew Phillips knocked the ball out of his hands. St. Brown shoved after that and then things escalated:

Here is how some of the other fans responded to the fight between the Lions and the Giants:

It will be interesting to see if tempers calm down the next time they have a joint practice together. There were other fights throughout practice. What also occurred during this practice is wide receiver Malik Nabers had his way with the Lions’ defense.

It appears as if the rookie wide receiver is going to be a massive problem for other teams to deal with this season.  He is going to be a stud for the Giants as a rookie and for many years to come.
