Ohio State found its running back coach, Tony Alford, leaving for their rival Michigan last week. Now, they have an open spot, and a former NFL running back could take the job.

Murray played seven seasons in the NFL and had his claim to fame when he had 1,845 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns and won the Offensive Player of The Year in 2014.
Murray played college football at Oklahoma and is now their running back coach. If Murray were to accept the job with Ohio State, he would be entering the country’s most loaded running back room.
Murray Would Come Into The Best Running Back Room In The Country
TreVeyon Henderson is one of the best running backs in the country. He had a chance to enter the 2024 NFL Draft but decided to return to Ohio State for his senior season.
Henderson would’ve taken the NFL by storm in 2024 and may have been the first running back pick, but he decided he had unfinished business in Columbus.
Henderson was also joined by one of the best running back transfers in the country when Ole Miss Quinshon Judkins decided to come to Ohio State two months ago and made it the best running back room in the country.
Ohio State easily has two NFL running backs that will be legit starters in the league, and it would be awesome to see a former NFL player coach these guys.
