The NFL draft is fast approaching and there are numerous teams around the league that want to trade into the top 5 picks of the draft to select a quarterback. There are a few teams that may look to move down in the draft if the quarterback they want is not available at their pick. Now, a prominent NFL insider has named the Arizona Cardinals as a sleeper team that is looking to trade out of the top 5 in the draft.
NFL Insider Says Arizona Cardinals Will Trade Down
While many of the other teams in the top 5 of this years draft, many of them will be looking ot get their next franchise quarterback in a draft that supposedly has many of them. The Arizona Cardinals however, sit pretty with Kyler Murray as their franchise guy. Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Cardinals are the sleeper team that will trade out of the top 5.
“If you’re looking for a sleeper team to move back, I think Arizona at 4 is gonna move back,” Schultz said on the “Pat McAfee Show.” “They’re not married to 4. They don’t need a quarterback. They can move back and address some other positions.”
Will The Arizona Cardinals Select Marvin Harrison Jr.
If the team chooses to stay put at their pick, they will likely have the ability to select the top receiver prospect of this years draft, and perhaps of all time, in Marvin Harrison Jr. Pairing him with Murray would be a very nice connection of two young stars.
They will likely have to get a big haul from one of the teams to trade down. If Harrison is there, it will be very tempting to draft him. If the Minnesota Vikings or Denver Broncos wants their pick, they will likely have to compensate the Cardinals in a huge way.
