Their offense will be very scary for the 2024 season, and the team is clearly in a win now mode. Having C.J. Stroud on a rookie contract will allow the team to pay many good players, and they are doing exactly that.

While many Buffalo Bills fans quickly took to social media to share their outrage, Texans fans are through the moon about this trade. The Bills saw their Super Odds plummet and the Texans odds improved drastically from this massive trade that is shaking the NFL world.
The Houston Texans only had to give up two late round selections for Diggs and their Super Bowl odds went from +2,000 all they way up tp +1,500, per Fanduel. Jumping that much for one trade shows how good Vegas thinks the Texans will be this year adding one of the best receivers in the league.
It is clear that the team is all in for the next few seasons while they have an elite quarterback on his rookie deal. They have made amazing moves this offseason to maximize this rookie deal. Once Stroud gets his monster payday the team will no longer be able to operate like this.
The Houston Texans Are Very Real Super Bowl Contenders
The Texans came up short in the Divisional round of the playoffs, but there was a lot to be very optimistic about for their first year with Stroud. The team now has one of, if not the best, receiving cores in the league after adding Diggs.
Diggs will join breakout rookie Tank Dell and Nico Collins to form an incredibly scary pass game. They also will have Joe Mixon and Damian Pierce in the run game and Dalton Schultz at tight end. The team is a legitimate contender now, and they may have been even without Diggs.
