The NFL has had some notable job openings come up this past week. Now, we can add the New England Patriots head coach position to that list. A report early this morning indicated that the Patriots and Bill Belichick are expected to part ways. However, if Belichick still wants to coach, it should not take long to find a new home.
Almost Every NFL Team Wants Bill Belichick
Now that we have this news concerning the Patriots and Belichick, all eyes are on where Belichick may end up next. Well, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, there are at least seven teams interested in Bill Belichick’s services. Considering that is the exact number of teams with a head coach opening, it is safe to say that Belichick is going to be highly coveted around the league.

Teams That Need a Head Coach
As mentioned above, there are about seven other teams in the NFL that still need to announce their next head coach. So, which teams still need to find a head coach? Here is the full list:
- Tennessee Titans
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Washington Commanders
- Carolina Panthers
- Atlanta Falcons
- Seattle Seahawks
The Panthers and Chargers have had job openings for a while. However, one job is certainly more appealing than the other. That is because Carolina has limited draft capital to work with. They already lost their top pick in a draft trade with the Chicago Bears last year. As for the Chargers, they still have star QB Justin Herbert to work with.

Las Vegas is in an interesting predicament. Antonio Pierce was the interim head coach for the final nine games of the season. Due to the Raiders’ performance since he took over, many players on the team are campaigning for Pierce to be the permanent head coach.
The Atlanta Falcons may be the team that wants Belichick the most. The reason for this is they have not requested an interview with anybody since firing Arthur Smith a few days ago until this morning. Despite having quarterback concerns, there are young stars to work with.
Perhaps the most interesting opening is the Seattle Seahawks. They had a bombshell report of their own when they announced that they were going to part ways with legendary head coach Pete Carroll. Seattle also had the best record of any team on this list, finishing 9-8.

Will Bill Belichick Retire?
Is there a chance that Belichick just decides to retire? Schefter claims that he very much wants to coach, and several teams are interested. There is one thing that can motivate him to keep going. That is the all-time wins record. Belichick needs 15 more wins to break Don Shula’s record.
