The NFL football season is here. Tonight is the night the NFL starts back and I can tell you millions of people like me are excited. Whether you are a die-hard fan of a certain team, a sports gambler, or maybe you are involved in a fantasy league; this game has something for everybody.
Not to mention the ways you can watch this, they air games on CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN, and now for the first time, Amazon Prime. Also, the deals like NFL Red Zone or NFL Sunday Ticket allow you to catch up on all of the games, including those outside your market.
So a lot of you are thinking which team do I root for? Well, it’s complicated. I grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan because of my Dad, but I jumped on other teams’ bandwagons as well – like the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints. Brett Farve was still playing at the time and I liked watching him play. The Saints were all about Drew Brees and the way he carried that city of New Orleans on his back. When Hurricane Katrina hit, New Orleans felt they had no hope, but here comes Drew Brees as he traded from Miami and four years later leads the team to its first Superbowl. However, a new time has arrived since both of those players are retired. I believe I’ll stick with the Cowboys because that’s the team I was born to root for. The first baby picture of me I remember seeing was wearing a Dallas Cowboys shirt while my mom held me in her arms. As a Tennessee native, I have a soft spot for the Titans and as someone who hates both Pittsburgh and New England, The Baltimore Ravens also have a special place in my heart. My uncle tells me no to do that because the ravens have broken titans fan’s hearts too, and I say every time to him they make the Steelers fans and the Patriots fans mad so that makes them cool in my book, plus Ray Lewis is one of my all-time favorite players.
However, you watch the game or whatever team you cheer for I believe we can all agree that the NFL season is about to start tonight. The Defending Super Bowl champions the Los Angeles Rams will take on the Super Bowl Contending Buffalo Bills.
