Bama fans and the team have circled this game for months, the game vs Texas A&M. After last season’s last-second field goal loss this has been the game everybody has been looking forward to. There is also the preseason drama, Texas A&M had the number one recruiting class of the year and Alabama Coach Nick Saban said that the faculty bought every one of their players which of course Jimbo Fisher and the rest of his staff didn’t like that statement. Sure Jimbo Fisher hid it on SEC media days, but you could tell he was still upset. This isn’t…

We are two weeks into the season and I’m starting to see something strange about this Alabama team. Sure, Week 1 was all right. They crushed Utah State 55-0, Bryce Young threw five touchdown passes, and backup quarterback Jalen Milroe scored a touchdown pass. Everything seemed normal until the next game. Then Week 2 happened. The Texas Longhorns vs The Alabama Crimson Tide, are two of college football’s best historic teams and most passionate fanbases. This game was overhyped if you ask me. What made this game so close was the media itself. Everybody was like – Bama is going…

The NFL football season is here. Tonight is the night the NFL starts back and I can tell you millions of people like me are excited. Whether you are a die-hard fan of a certain team, a sports gambler, or maybe you are involved in a fantasy league; this game has something for everybody. Not to mention the ways you can watch this, they air games on CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN, and now for the first time, Amazon Prime. Also, the deals like NFL Red Zone or NFL Sunday Ticket allow you to catch up on all of the games,…

A certain song tells us that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. However, I believe the best time of the year is the start of college football season. A bunch of traditions will return for a new year. In Alabama, The Tide will Roll, and the Eagle will fly, In Mississippi chants of Hotty Toddy and Hail State will echo throughout the state. Arkansas will be calling them hogs and the folks in Louisiana will say in their Cajun language Geaux Tigers. The defending champion Georgia Bulldogs will be barking, and the Florida Gators will be chomping.…

I have been watching a lot of Paul Finebaum’s show and just finished reading his book, “My Conference Can Beat Your Conference.” What can you say about Paul Finebaum? He is just so relatable. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He also worked for the student newspaper at the University of Tennessee and got his degree from there. He worked at newspapers in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Birmingham, Alabama. He also had his own radio show in Birmingham, Alabama. He says the best part of the radio shows is the callers like Jim from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who is obsessed with Alabama…

With the college football season coming up, I decided to re-watch an eight-part docuseries called Saturdays in the South. It’s directed by Fritz Mitchell, produced by John Dahl and narrated by Flip Pallot. This series sets up the impossible task of telling the 150 years of college football and how the SEC has impacted the sport. Part One: Part 1 talks about how football helped the South regain its pride again after the Civil War. From the first game in 1892 between Georgia and Auburn to the 1925 National Championship team at Alabama, Southerners have gravitated to this sport invented…

Here is my NFL Hall of Fame preview. Tomorrow night we as football fans are getting our first taste of football in several months…The Hall of Fame game located in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in Canton, Ohio. A nearly 2-hour drive south of Cleveland, Ohio, this is the birthplace of professional football. Tomorrow night the Hall of Fame will get a new class, the class of 2022. Headlined by, in my opinion, one of the most under-rated coaches in NFL history, Dick Vermeil the one who coached NFL legend Kurt Warner to a Super Bowl win. We also…

It’s that time of year again…the SEC media days, or as I look at it, the State of the Union for the Conference.  There were business as usual moments, and there were some funny moments here and there. The funniest thing that happened was when Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin was asked to sign a mustard bottle referring to the time they played Tennessee last season and the fans started throwing stuff onto the field including a mustard bottle…not packets, an actual bottle. It’s funny when I go to a Memphis Tigers game or a Memphis Redbirds game (Triple A…

This is my first article so I wanted to write something that means a lot to me.  Alabama football means the world to me. So many memories when it comes to this program. From all the victories and all the losses this program had stuck with me. Here are some of the reasons why. From the early days: I became a fan of the Crimson Tide in 2005; I did so because a good buddy of mine was an Alabama fan and turned me onto the program.  Once I did a little research, and after seeing their winning history, I…
