The Kansas City Chiefs got some disturbing news this week after a report came out that three fans of the team reportedly froze to death at a friend’s house watching the game. The incident occurred back in the last week of the regular season when Kansas City took on the Los Angeles Chargers. The friends got together to watch the game and froze to death over multiple days according to the report.

According to the report, there were three bodies found on the property that belonged to David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney on the ninth of January. The fiancé of one of the men found the bodies after going to request a welfare check according to the Kansas City Police. Officers found a body on the back porch, while the other two were found in the backyard.

Three Kansas City Chiefs fans were found frozen to death in the backyard of their friend’s home, where they had gathered to watch a game — but the homeowner is insisting that he had “no knowledge” that their bodies had possibly been there for two days. https://t.co/va71XuHYaj pic.twitter.com/pKbwGwbhD0

Many NFL fans found the story to be mind-boggling after reading the details of the report, which stated that the homeowner did not know that his friends had frozen to death in his backyard. Some fans are calling it foul play, while others are calling it a tragic accident.

How do three people freeze to death in the back yard of their friend's presumably warm home? That makes no sense at all.

It’s a strange story, did they really just sit there and freeze, it’s not clear and a thorough investigation needs to be carried out.

    Sorry….this is suspicious as heck

    Was Foul Play Involved?

Fans are calling out the report for not having enough details on the incident, and that the police need to do a more thorough investigation. The report states that the homeowner fell asleep with headphones on next to a loud fan, which caused him not to realize his friends were in danger. There have not been any arrests made as of right now, but that could change depending on what police find as they continue the investigation.

While the details revealed are not the clearest, there are still several unknown questions regarding the incident, and fans want the police to take a deeper dive into the tragedy. As of right now, the victim’s loved ones seem to be in better spirits and continue to watch their Chiefs make a Super Bowl run. Do you think that this incident was just a tragedy, or was there any kind of foul play involved in these deaths?
