New York Jets offensive coordinator Nathanial Hackett is struggling to get the offense on track. While some of it is due to the Aaron Rodgers injury, that isn’t the whole story. Hackett was asked about the poor offensive performance and gave a completely nonsensical answer.
This is how #Jets OC Nathaniel Hackett explains being ranked at the bottom of the #NFL on offense.
Can you make sense of any of it? what is he saying?

New York Jets Nathanial Hackett On Poor Offense
When asked about being ranked last in offense, Hackett had this to say.
“When it comes to stats, there’s so many different ways to look at numbers. Good, bad. There are people throughout this league that have been very, very good. There are those that are not as good. That fluctuates. There are so many things that change. That’s why this game is so great. So many different things that change. Personnel. Situations. So many different things.”
I have read this answer over and over. I have no clue what he is trying to say. It seems like he is saying things change fast in the NFL and that is part of the ebbs and flows of an offense.
Quarterback Play
It isn’t hard to diagnose why the Jets offense has struggled. The quarterback play has been poor. Zach Wilson has had his moments but the offense can barely score a touchdown. Wilson has now been benched but I doubt that Tim Boyle will be a huge step up. The offensive line has been banged up and cannot seem to block anyone. However, part of an offensive coordinator’s job is to maximize the offense no matter who is on the field and Hackett hasn’t done that.
Nathanial Hackett has quick turnaround this week. The New York Jets will host the Miami Dolphins on Black Friday. They will need to try and keep up with the Dolphins on offense or they could get run out of the building.
