Saquon Barkley’s divorce from the New York Giants was anything but nice. After expressing his frustrations over the team’s hesitation to give him a good contract, he eventually moved on to division rivals Philadelphia Eagles in what turned out to be a controversial move.
The signing was so egregious to some fans that a team legend in Tiki Barber traded barbs with him, even going so far as to call him dead in his eyes.
However, not every former Giant shared Barber’s point of view. One former player, while only playing with the Giants for a short while, came to Barkley’s defense and got into a war of words with the former running back.
Ryan Clark, Tiki Barber gets into a row over Saquon Barkley’s New York Giants departure

The moment Barber unleashed his hurtful words, Ryan Clark went onto his Pivot podcast to put plenty of salt into Barber’s comments. He said that the legendary New York Giants running back taught him everything he refused to become as an NFL veteran.
It was at this moment that they got into a heated exchange, as reported by The Spun’s Andrew Gould:
Barber told Clark to “shut the h–l up,” claiming the former safety sounded “like a fool” making up a narrative to fulfill his agenda. His WFAN co-host, Giannotti, called Clark a “d-bag” in the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room.
Clark replied to Barber and Giannotti on Monday night.
“This is pretty easy… @TikiBarber & @GioWFAN. I’m in NY all week. Would love to meet anywhere you all would like,” Clark wrote. “I have no problem. I didn’t say you know where to find me, I said I’m easy to find. As in anything further I’m willing to discuss in person as adult men & professionals.”
The one-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers also said that his personal experience with Barber was what coerced him to say things about him and that he refused to stoop down to his level of name-calling.

With their feud now out in the open, it will take a while before they even consider talking to each other.
