Oh, what a night, Malik Nabers was brilliant. The rookie wide receiver for the New York Giants did not disappoint. He showed us why he is one of the best rookie players in the NFL this year. With only four games played, he is already a record holder and exhibits qualities such as speed, talent, and play-making ability that Giants fans could only have dreamt of previously.
Nabers is the first player in the Super Bowl era to have 30-plus receptions for 300-plus receiving yards and three or more receiving touchdowns in his initial four career games. His current numbers, 35 receptions, 386 yards, and three scores put him currently first in the NFL in all three categories, or second if you give him the benefit of an extra game.

New York Giants: Rookie Sensation Malik Nabers Has More Records
Much more fantastic is his performance during primetime. Nabers was only the third rookie starting the week with 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards in a primetime game since the merger in 1974, joining legends like Odell Beckham Jr. (2014) and Jerry Rice (1985). In his latest outing against the Dallas Cowboys, he was able to post 12 catches for 115 yards – he shows up in the big games.

In the previous games, Nabers has been demonstrating why he is an asset for the Giants’ offense. In their win against the Cleveland Browns, on September 22, he was pivotal to the Giants 21-15 victory. He made eight receptions for 78 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Washington Commanders defeated them on September 15. He made 10 receptions for 127 receiving yards and a receiving TD. He remains a primary target for Danny “Dimes” Jones no matter the game’s result.
New York Giants Star Rookie WR Suffers Scary Injury
Sadly though, his night was cut short in the fourth quarter when Nabers went down and sustained a concussion against the Cowboys. The rookie talent was taken to the locker room and is expected to be out of action for at least a week. On the bright side, it being a Thursday night game he should get a full ten days to pass through concussion protocol before his next game against the Seahawks. Of course, the double whammy (loss and concussion) is disappointing, but the impact on the game has been noticed.
Fans should expect much more from Malik Nabers when he returns to football as he surely has more history to establish. This scoring rate, reliability, and his capacity to deliver in clutch moments of the game proves that he is not just any ordinary rookie – he is a future superstar.
