The New York Giants are 1-2 to start the 2024 season and they will play on Thursday night football at home in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is also 1-2 on the season. Over the years, Dak Prescott has had much success against the New York Giants and Daniel Jones has not had much success against Dallas.
A lot of things can change for both Dallas and New York before the end of the 2024 season. There was a chance that the Giants were going to move off of Daniel Jones last offseason, but they never did. There will be a much better chance for the New York Giants to move on from the former sixth-overall pick next offseason.
New York Giants Predicted To Draft Miami Hurricanes Quarterback Cam Ward In the 2025 NFL Draft
In the latest CBS Mock Draft, Chris Trapasso has the New York Giants drafting third overall in 2025. He thinks that the Giants will find its next franchise quarterback and select Cam Ward from the Miami Hurricanes. Ward has been climbing up draft boards as of late. Trapasso said:
“The Giants turn the page at quarterback with the multi-faceted Ward. He’s been sensational to begin the 2024 campaign at the University of Miami.”
Cam Ward at this point is more talented than Daniel Jones. Imagine Ward throwing the football to stud wide receiver Malik Nabers. Giants fans are worried that Nabers is good enough to keep Daniel Jones around for another season after 2024.
Cam Ward Stats
Cam Ward of the Miami Hurricanes has a chance to win the Heisman Trophy this season. He has completed 72.4% of his passes for 1,439 yards, 14 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Ward has also 89 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 7.4 yards per carry.
Cam Ward has thrown for over 300 yards in four straight college games this season. It has been a long time since Daniel Jones of the New York Giants has thrown for over 300 yards in a single game. With the Giants still in a rebuild, head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen may be able to select there own quarterback to mold.
