The New York Giants own the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and one of the names that could be on the board for them is wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State. Harrison Jr. may be the best player in this NFL Draft class.
He is the best wide receiver prospect in the draft since Calvin Johnson Jr. He was selected second overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions out of Georgia Tech. Marvin Harrison Jr. a season ago for the Buckeyes caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns, along with averaging 18.1 yards per reception.
His Dad, Marvin Harrison Sr., had a great NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts and had Peyton Manning as his quarterback. His son has the chance to be a great pro just like him. It would be a surprise if Marvin Harrison Jr. was still on the board for the Giants with the sixth selection, but the NFL Draft in 2024 can have all sorts of crazy scenarios.
New York Giants Selecting Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. From Ohio State With the Sixth Pick in the 2024 NFL Draft Would Feel Like a Miracle
Harrison Jr. could be the best player in the 2024 NFL Draft depending on who you ask. All logic says he should be a Top 3 selection and not be available with the sixth selection. This draft is crazy because the teams at the top of the draft will want a quarterback and not a wide receiver.
The Chicago Bears, the Washington Commanders, and the New England Patriots all own the top three selections and are most likely going to draft a quarterback. With the fourth pick, the Arizona Cardinals will be drafting. They will most likely be taking a wide receiver but what if they like Malik Nabers from LSU instead of Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State?
That would come as a surprise. You would think then the Los Angeles Chargers would take him with the fifth pick since they need a wide receiver. Well, what if the Chargers trade back with the Minnesota Vikings and the Vikings then take J.J. McCarthy or Drake Maye with that pick?
Then at the sixth pick, Harrison Jr. is still available for the Giants. They would not pass up on him in this instance. The Ohio State Buckeyes prodigy is an unbelievable talent. Marvin Harrison Jr. would be the best draft pick at the wide receiver position since Odell Beckham Jr. from LSU. It feels like a miracle for this franchise, but it may not be impossible.
