The New York Giants want to improve in 2023
The New York Giants were off to a fast start in Brian Daboll’s first season with the team. Before last season, the Giants’ previous playoff win was when they won the Super Bowl in the 2011 season. The Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round. They were blown out the following week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to the New York Daily News, head coach Brian Daboll said the team has much to get better at in the offseason:
“We have a long way to go in terms of time, and we have a long way to go in terms of improvement,” he said. “I’m not saying we’re starting at ground zero, because they know our system. There’s a lot of things they know more than they did last year. But in terms of where we’re at and the things we gotta do, we got a long climb ahead of us.”
The Giants have their key offensive players back next season. The Giants gave quarterback Daniel Jones a long-term extension. Running back Saquon Barkley is back via the franchise tag. It’s up to the leaders of the team to take the next step and try to be more competitive against their rival and NFC measuring stick, the Philadelphia Eagles.
