Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is arguably the greatest coach in the history of the NFL. At the very least, he is the greatest head coach of the century, having won six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots over the course of 24 seasons. After finishing last season just 4-13, however, he and New England parted ways.
After being let go by the Patriots, Belichick pursued new head coaching opportunities. As fans, of course, know, he did not get a new job. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan offered the legendary Champion a place on his staff as defensive coordinator, but Belichick declined. Understandably, the only position he will take in the NFL is a head coaching job.
Former New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick Will Have a Weekly Show

On Wednesday morning, Underdog Fantasy revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that they had reached an agreement with Belichick to host a weekly show called “Coach.”
We got our guy.

“I partnered with Underdog because Underdog is a sports company run by sports people,” Belichick said in the video. “They want sports to connect to the fans and that’s what I want to do, I want to find a connection to the fans where I give the fans what they’ve asked me for in terms of content.”
Belichick explained what the purpose of the show will be as well.
“Behind-the-scenes information, decision-making that goes on within the organization, and a breakdown of schematics and personnel within the game. Bring all this real football conversation and decision to the fans.”
Could Former New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick Return to the NFL as a Head Coach Next Season?

While the six-time Super Bowl champion did not get any head coaching offers this offseason, it may be a different story in 2025.
Perhaps most notably, the Dallas Cowboys did not give Mike McCarthy a contract extension following their most recent loss in the NFL Playoffs. With a 1-3 postseason record since coming to Dallas, McCarthy’s job can only be saved by a prolonged playoff run.
If the Cowboys decide not to bring McCarthy back in 2025, Belichick’s name will certainly be thrown around as a possible replacement.
The New York Jets, too, need a successful season to save the jobs of many people in their building, including head coach Robert Saleh. Belichick ending up back in the AFC East would certainly be a cruel twist of irony.
