Just three weeks after sustaining a concussion against the Saints, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is set to return to the lineup for the New England Patriots.
Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that Smith-Schuster is set to play on Sunday against the 5-2 Miami Dolphins.
#Patriots WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, who hasn’t played due to a concussion since Oct. 8, will make his return to the lineup today. Despite some other WRs rising over the last couple weeks, he will be active, source said.

With the Dolphins recently activating Jalen Ramsey, the Patriots are going to need all the weapons they can get to power through an electric Miami football team.
Smith-Schuster joined the Patriots in the past offseason, coming off of a Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed a three-year, $33M contract with the Pats back in March.
In five games with NE, he’s caught 14 passes for 86 yards, no touchdowns, and is averaging 6.1 yards per reception.
Dolphins / Patriots Final Injury Report
It’s a bit of a messy situation across both teams as they head into Sunday afternoon. After ruling out a combined four players, there is a total combined of 13 players listed as questionable heading into the contest.
Dolphins Extensive Questionable List
Players on the Dolphins’ side listed as questionable are as follows:
Alec Ingold (foot), Raheem Mostert (ankle), Xavlen Howard (groin), Nik Needham (Achilles), Cam Smith (foot), and Connor Williams (groin). CB Jalen Ramsey is set to suit up after being on IR for a knee injury, Jevon Holland has officially been ruled as out due to a concussion, and WR River Cracraft is ruled out with a shoulder injury.
The Dolphins did have Braxton Berrios, Tyreek Hill, Kader Kohou, Jaylen Waddle, and David Long all with no status, which could potentially mean they’re all available for Sunday’s game. Hill has already expressed that he will be playing Sunday after suffering a hip injury in Week 7’s loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Patriots Injury Updates
Calvin Anderson (Illness), Vederlan Lowe (ankle), and Josh Uche (shoulder) have all officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Kelon White (concussion), Christian Barmore (knee), Trent Brown (ankle/knee), Shaun Wade (shoulder), Deatrich Wise (shoulder) are listed as questionable.
Devon Godchaux, Hunter Henry, Ty Montgomery, and Cole Strange all did not have a status after Thursday’s practice, so its likely they will be available for the Patriots on Sunday.
Kick off is set for noon at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL where the Dolphins will be sporting throwback threads. The Patriots are coming off of win against the Buffalo Bills, while the Dolphins are looking to come back from a disappointing loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
