It’s no secret at this point of the offseason that the New England Patriots will be moving on from Mac Jones. The Alabama alum’s final year with the Patriots has been a major disaster, and it wouldn’t be strange to say that the team is looking forward to moving on from the terrible partnership they’ve had.
While Mac Jones is still waiting for the chips to fall where they may, he’s not resting on his laurels and is constantly working to improve himself. He even posts updates to his followers on what he’s been up to after the Patriots’ 2023 season ended in January.
Unfortunately for him, Patriots fans who have been frustrated with his play won’t be relenting with their criticisms even during the offseason.
Mac Jones’ training video gets clowned on by New England Patriots fans
The Spun’s Matt Hladik wrote a quick piece on Jones’ activities during the offseason. The estranged New England QB was shown practicing his passes, which included a no-look pass that would remind some of one Patrick Mahomes.
While it’s encouraging to see him trying his best after a disappointing season, fans were ruthless with their jokes:
“Might want to focus more on the look pass,” one person said.
“Dawg are you telling me he was looking at the passes before,” another person added.
“Lol wtf he needs to work on throwing to people he’s looking at,” a third person chimed in.
“He might wanna master the ‘look’ passes before he moves onto the ‘no look’ ones,” said a fourth commenter.
“He should be focusing more on the look pass,” a fifth person said.
It’s been a difficult road for the former first-round pick. In what is likely his final year with the New England Patriots, he completed 65% of his pass attempts for 2120 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. While some of the blame can be placed on his inability to adjust, the archaic operations of Bill Belichick also compounded his struggles.
It may become tough for Mac Jones to find another team that would be willing to take a shot on him. However, all he could do is keep his head down and focus on working on his craft.
