The New England Patriots quickly added a recently released Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback to their roster after the Los Angeles Chargers signed Will Grier off their practice squad Monday morning. The 3-11 Patriots made the move coming off a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
The Jacksonville Jaguars lose out on a QB
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Patriots signed Nathan Rourke off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars waived on Saturday. The decision to waive Rourke came a day before starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a head injury. The Jaguars don’t have a quarterback on their practice squad and probably would have retained Rourke.
The Jaguars will now have to search for an emergency quarterback this week. But as we’ve seen Monday, the quarterback positions’ reserves are quickly being taken by needy teams.
